You need this book. Full of pictures and great advice on growing your own. Well worth the investment for the pictures alone!
Book is extremely outdated. Pictures are confusing at times. For example: 2 different pictures that say pic 1 is clear trichomes while pic 2 is milky. They look exactly the same though.In all honesty, if the internet didn't exist, this book would be a God's gift. Since we do have the power of the internet, this book is extremely obsolete. Not worth the time and money. I read it cover to cover in hopes of getting lucky and finding something out that I don't already know from the web.
Lots of good info but alot of outdated advice. Needs to be updated. Many myths are presented as facts.
This is my first book that has anything to do with cannabis, and it is perfect...Extremely detailed to the T...The author is on point with it. You can't go wrong with this book! Money well spent.
Finally, a grow book with information on outdoor planting/grow.I purchased this book for the Kindle. My only wish was for the book to be indexed. It wasn't. To get around this, I went through each chapter and bookmarked it along the way. Once completed, I can then select the book marks and the various chapters marked are now available to me.PROS: Thoroughness of content, pictures,CONS: Kindle version is not indexed (at the time of this review)
I purchased this as a gift and had the chance to look through it prior to the actual gifting. This review also comes from the feedback I received from my friend.This is a very thorough book on the topic of marijuana growing. This covers the full spectrum of growing set ups, from small space to commercial size outdoor operations. This is pure, raw knowledge that contains a multitude of graphs and data to help you determine your needs, and what results you could get.This book I would compare to a textbook. It has more than enough information and presented in a very plain, informational way. There are certainly other books that can cover growing in a much more simple, how-to guide style, cutting out a lot of what some would consider unnecessary information. If you are the type that loves curling up with some non-fiction, informational text, this is it.
There will always be someone who has more information, or a different perspective. This book should be used as a guideline to help you learn and understand, but not to learn how to do things. Knowledge comes from doing, not from reading. Different strains will react to different influences. Are you growing indoor or outdoor? MH/HPS or LED or COB? What nutrients are you using (if you're using)? Are you using CO2? And so on and so on... Having said that, this book is a great companion piece for easy reference.
I have everything I need to know right in front of me inside a beautiful book without having to look at tons of different other books and web pages to find the same information. I am also impressed with the color coded organization, quality of the print and pictures, and overall flawless writing of the book.
Although it has a lot of information, it is not organized well. Chapter 3 is supposed to be about the vegetative growth stage, but it talks about cloning instead, which I feel is advanced and should have it's own chapter in the back. There is some unnecessary information in the beginning and does not explain well about nutrient problems how to fix them and what they look like It does not have enough information about watering schedules, like when to use and not to use fertilizers how to mix liquid fertilizers, or when to use pure water. I did find information that was better than online but not an easy read. Not a good book for beginners.
